5 Ways to De-Stress During the Holidays

Updated: Jun 19, 2022

As I write this post, Christmas is only 3 sleeps away! If you’re anything like me and starting to feel the stress, here are 5 ways that help me woooosa and relax during the holiday season.

1. Get some fresh air ☃️.

It not only gives you some exercise but it also gives you the peace and quiet to reflect on all that we can be thankful for this time of year. Grab your partner, the dog, the kids or a friend to come along with you if you want company.

2. Stay in alignment with your priorities🌙.

The reality is that you can’t do it all. Pick the things that are most important to you and stick to them. It’s fun to try new things during the holidays, but stick to just a few rather than a huge list that you will get overwhelmed trying to accomplish. Set boundaries and learn to say no.

3. Break a sweat 😅.

Exercise is one of those things that so many of us let drop to the bottom of the list when we get busy. When ironically enough, it’s one of the things that can help us manage stress the most. Taking 30-60 minutes a few times a week to break a sweat and it will help you reduce stress, clear your mind and have more energy.

4. Keep it fresh. 🥬

The holidays are known for all the delicious decadent foods, but they can also make you feel sluggish, bloated and tired. Try to find balance by eating healthier meals whenever you can and save the high-calorie, high sugar foods for the special occasions & make sure to fill up on fresh foods first!

5. Ditch the “list” 🙅🏼‍♀️📝.

Wait what? Lists are life!

Hear me out— try to brain dump into 4 quadrants instead of a never ending, overwhelming to do list. Everything feels like it needs to get done, but does it? That’s where lists can be polarizing. This quadrant method helps to prioritize and plan. 📊

The 4 quadrants I use are-

Do Now, Do Later, Delegate and Drop.

I hope these tips help!! What are your favorite ways to destress during the holiday season? Share below! 👇👇

Also, save this post to revisit later if needed or share it with a friend!

Abundance and freedom,

Steph
